Positive: The breakfast was homemade and wonderful. It was so bountiful that we couldn't finish our pancakes and sausage and Melinda packaged our muffins to go. Coffee was plentiful and there were many choices of tea available. My hubby and I loved the yogurt parfait and the availability of snacks (i.e. cookies). The room was so clean (to a standard that only matches my sister's - the family neat freak) and the bathroom is very modern. My husband is a history buff so he loves older homes with character but I enjoy creature comforts. Melinda is very easy to talk to and helpful with local information. We will be back to visit as I didn't get a chance to meet and feed her pet animals (alpacas, donkeys, sheep, etc.) because we needed to get back to Fairfax. We had lunch in Waynesboro at The River Burger Shack (loved the wings) and dinner in Staunton at Maude and the Bear (we recommend the four course tasting menu with the additional bread option). There are so many choices of things to do and places to visit that are close to the Cider House B&B. The location is central if you want to see Waynesboro, Charlottesville, or Staunton.

Positive: It is a super charming old house with the kindest host ever. Melinda could not have been more accommodating. The room was adorable, comfy and immaculate. The breakfast was unbelievable! A solid 5 stars!
Negative: The property with a lot of animals, pretty views, quiet and perfectly located.
