Positive: WOW If I could give this 20 stars I would. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality of our gracious hosts Christophe and Fabrice! Staying in a castle has been a dream of mine for many years, and we are SO happy we chose this one during our bucket list trip to Europe. I almost cried a few times being overwhelmed with the reality that I'm living a part of 700 year old history. We travelled for 3 weeks starting in Amsterdam and finishing the last 3 nights in total luxury and relaxation at this charming and gorgeous castle. Our hosts made us feel like family from arrival to departure. The attention to detail and care they have put into their venue shines through. The breakfast was wonderful every morning and we were asked every evening what time we would like to have it! One day we wanted to sleep in and ate at 9am, and the day we flew home we needed 7am. Each day everything was freshly made and served. They offered so much information to help with our stay in the area, answered all questions, and were genuinely interested in conversation with us. There was a bit of a language barrier, but extreme effort was made to communicate. Everything was truly over and above and beyond our expectations! The area is so quiet and peaceful, after touring around Europe in a world-wind of 3 weeks it was heavenly to just sit and enjoy the sound of the fountain on our own private patio with delicious French wine we purchased. The pool was perfect on a hot day. There is a fridge in the room which is stocked if a purchase is needed. we were greeted with a tour of the castle and grounds. These 2 gentlemen work very hard at not only maintaining this treasure of a property, but at being amazing hosts. You can feel it is a labour of love for them. The surrounding french countryside and charming little areas to drive around was like heaven to us. No tourists/ or tour buses/ or crowds. We absolutely will return one day. Merci boucoup mes ami :)

Positive: Totally unique, with antique furnitures but with all modern equipment you can imagine. Its better than on pictures. Every detail of decoration has its place, VERY clean, crispy white bedsheets, huge room. Views from the castle terrace and windows are breathtaking. Castle is often used for weddings, but even for a casual stay you have a feeling like celebrating something important. Breakfast is 11 out of 10, its best breakfast I have ever had in France. Owners are the top of hospitality (due to flight delay we arrived in the middle of the night - owners still welcomed with a big smile) and in general very pleasant.
