Summary: Been coming here since 2014. I always enjoy my stay at China Hotel. Lucy upgraded me as they were overbooked for Canton Fair (thanks Lucy). The property is iconic and the management is always trying ways to improve and update the property. Great amenities and services. Great location!

Summary: The location of the hotel was great. Being part of the Marriott brand, I was expecting better services n standards. Called the front desk on few occasions, but the staff didn’t sounded too friendly. I was also upset that my corridor smelled of soured durian husks for almost half of my stay there. Today surprised that durian was allowed in the hotel and the smell was left to linger for so many days. Totally not something I’ve expected from the brand.

Summary: Overall, a nice hotel under the Marriott brand. Comfortable room, but slightly dated, can do with some technology upgrades. Loved the housekeeping team, but the front desk wasn’t as friendly on the few occasions when I called. The corridor area started smelling of rotting durians on my last 3 days of stay. Was disposed that the hotel actually allowed the fruits in the room.

Summary: My two night stay was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself feels quite luxurious. The lobby and hallways are grand and elegant, and even the elevators have a refined, high-end feel. It definitely gives the impression of a classic upscale hotel. The room was very spacious, much larger than I expected. It had a large, comfortable bed, a generous sitting area, and even a bar table. The bathroom was huge as well, with a separate shower and an oversized bathtub, which made the room feel even more relaxing and comfortable. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Guangzhou.
