Negative: There are a number of stairs up to the apartment however it is in an old building so access is commensurate with that. Also bed is elevated and whilst comfortable requires effort to get in and out

Positive: I think this might be the nicest place we have stayed in our 10 weeks touring Portugal and Spain. It is a compact, efficient space that is comfortable, super clean, and in a fantastic location. Our host was lovely, meeting us promptly and ensuring we had everything we needed.

Negative: Check the festival schedules - the Cathedral Square is used for events, of which you will be very much part of. :)

Summary: The stairs lead up to the most comfortable 'bed nest in the sky'.

Positive: This is THE BEST place to stay in Viseu. You can't beat the location - the central square is visible from your balcony. Everything is within walking distance, and supermarket is just down the road. Room is spacious and has all the amenities. Host is a very nice person, so you feel really welcomed. This will be the first place to check if i come back to Viseu - THANK YOU!!

Negative: There are quite few stair to go into the property - however, you should moan about it unless you have disability, because it gives elevation and great view. Also, room layout is a bit unusual - but once you got used to it, it feels ok. It would be nice if kitchen had oven - but apart from that, everything else is available (including fridge)

Positive: The views from the windows to the mountains was one that could hold your attention. It was a short walk turning left and in a few paces seeing strings of lights where you will find a Cafe with warm food and equally warm hosts. Ask for a galão. It is not far from the Forum shopping center or for that matter center of Viseu. Then there is Marcelo. The best host you may every find. Bar none. Oh, and the Church bells. I miss hearing them on the hour and half-hour.

Summary: Enjoyed staying here and the memories of Viseu. But you have to like stairs. I'm 75.
