Positive: Toms a very nice bloke who tries really hard to be a welcoming host & succeeds. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower was great as were the cosmetics etc . The house is in a quiet rural area so very quiet surroundings , near enough to Villers Bocage to drive into town to eat, get fuel or shop. The continental breakfast and the cheese selection breakfast were both decent.

Negative: The room we had ( daisy room ) although large enough with a double bed was really set up for a single occupant. This was shown by the lack of room for bedside table or sockets on one side , one bathrobe, one complementary tooth brush ( nice touch) and the amount of coffee etc ( and my wife does like a lot of strong coffee. ) . Unfortunately a hairdryer was overlooked too but Tom apologised and these things happen. The cooked English i had on the last morning was ample and very nicely cooked but was almost a vegetarian option with only one chipolata, no bacon , no boudain noir , auto served with scrambled egg rather than a choice . Not really the way to win the heart of a stout Yorkshireman 😄 In terms of location it suited me as it was close to specific smaller WW2 action zones I wanted to visit but if you were going specifically for the D-Day beaches its about a 35 minute drive and about the same from the port but thats no biggy unless youre looking for a roll off the ferry stay. . All the above is not meant as detrimental and I'm very certain if Tom had been approached he would have cheerfully fixed anything he could , he's that kind of lad . As it goes we were just on our way home so just got by easy enough , we had our own tooth brushes , didnt bother with gowns and had our own coffee in the car . He has 5 rooms and im sure theyre great , one i saw with a roll top bath looked very smart but my wife prefers a strong shower ( which our room certainly had ) .if youre missing something find him and ask him. Fix the "full" English Brekky though Tom , sacrilage , stay well 😉

Positive: Lovely quirky old house in a small hamlet. Nice clean room, choice of breakfast including full english. Highly recommended!

Negative: Steep stairs to our room, no problem for us but not suitable for walking impaired.

Positive: Thomas is a very polite landlord. Even though we arrived later than expected he was there to welcome us. The house is very cozy in a good location with grocery stores and restaurants located approximately 10 minutes of ride. We overall really enjoyed our stay.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent with 3 choices covering all bases. Location was a little out of the way but very picturesque and quiet.

Negative: Nothing really. The weather was very hot which made the room very hot and maybe a better cooling system would have helped make it a bit more comfortable.
