Positive: The hotel was in a great location for us to stay for a family wedding. The rooms we had, 3 in the main house, were spotlessly clean and spacious. The beds were comfy. Most staff were happy and helpful, especially the evening staff in the bar. Excellent parking.

Negative: The food, sadly, was a bit of a let down. Poor pub grub. We have a Greene King hotel local to us, we assumed the food would be of equal quality. Breakfast was better, although we arrived to the buffet, 6 of us, and only 5 pastries. We were not late arrivals! When we asked for more coffee we were greeted with, ‘But I’ve already made 2 pots, it’ll take 10 minutes.’ We felt as if we were an imposition being there. A bit of a shame.

Positive: I loved being able to stay in a historic coaching inn in a lovely setting in the centre of the village of Maresfield. The room was enormous and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The place was beautifully quiet apart from the creaking of floorboards but that was to be expected in a lovely heritage building.

Summary: Very comfortable stay in beautiful building, highly recommend.

Positive: Comfortable bed.. but spoilt by some noisey guests above at coach house!

Summary: I have stayed there before. Was not too impressed with the evening meal. I think they had some staffing issues as well

Negative: Unfortunately the grill in the kitchen was not working for the first four days of our stay. This limited the choice available from an otherwise comprehensive menu.
