Positive: Nice place in Takek. I stayed in the single room with a shared bathroom. Staff very welcoming, engaging and friendly Room and bathroom very basic, however well maintained and regularly cleaned Wifi is relatively ok, however didn't check the speed. Mobile network coverage is also very good (and over most of the island)

Negative: A little costly compared to other parts of Malaysia, however the price is "normal" for Tioman.

Positive: Everything was pretty and the bed was super comfy! (Soft matress) I wish i would have stayed longer but I unfortunately made another booking somewhere else.

Positive: Clean rooms for budget Tioman rooms. Filtered water refill. Lots of information boards at the reception desk. Quiet and respectful guests and staff with beautifully maintained gardens.Food options and supermarket close by.. Beautiful beach across the road where we saw black tipped reef shark from the shore. Great to have a fan for those who don't like to sleep with the ac on.

Negative: Quite expensive for simple basic rooms but that is the price you pay to be on Tioman. You could get a bit cheaper but the rooms won't be as well maintained and cleaned

Positive: Chinese Malaysian owner is very friendly and helpful, along with ladies from reception. There is free tea/coffee, many books to read (i borrowed Lonely Planet on The Philippines), good places to eat and drink are within 10mins walk. From the reception especially i can recommend snorkeling (about $25) which made the best day of my life (swam with reef sharks!) - thank you ladies! On this chalet compound you can really feel like on the countryside and you will definitely relax. Highly recommended place. Lukasz (Poland)
