Positive: It is a beautiful historic building, lovingly restored. Extremely comfortable bed and modern shower. Wonderful evening meal and breakfast. The swimming pool was a real bonus. Vincent is a very attentive host.

Positive: Everything! A really warm welcome from the hosts and ensured we had everything we could need. We were travelling with our 8 month year old baby and they provided seats for the breakfast room and a lovely cot for the bedroom. The property has huge charm and the ample grounds were beautiful for a walk around the lake and through the woods... we even saw some deer! Breakfast was delicious, with local jams and we made good use of the well equipped kitchen for self catering our dinners. The host offered us some excellent local wine and gave a very good explanation of their complexity. The swimming pool area was lovely and we enjoyed with our baby. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and the modern shower huge and powerful! It felt a real privilege to stay at a chateau, and the experience was exactly as we hoped for. Would highly recommend it to anyone to stay!

Positive: It is such a beautiful place! Our room was lovely, and we really enjoyed the area - Ancenis, ten minutes away, is a charming town, and Nantes is a cool small city. The chateau had beautiful rooms, and Vincent was a lovely host, with very good English - which certainly helped as my wife speaks good French but I do not - and the massage we booked during our stay was wonderful as well.

Negative: At times, the smell of fertilizer from nearby fields made it harder to open our windows. It is the countryside, after all.
