Positive: Memorable stay for all the right reasons. Relax in rustic rural surroundings with a view over the city. Greeted by Stefan who really spoilt us with homemade pie and breakfast and made us feel welcome. Don’t stay in a hotel that you will forget in a few weeks, stay here with lasting memories. The entry road is rough and not for sports cars. And if you want five star luxury look elsewhere. But if you want a unique experience and hosts that feel like friends, stay here. We didn’t want to leave. Recommended.

Positive: Our stay at this house was absolutely amazing! The place is spacious, comfortable, and very clean — perfect for a family vacation or a trip with friends. The highlight, of course, was the swimming pool — a real lifesaver during the hot days! The water was clean, the pool area was well maintained, with comfortable loungers and shaded spots to relax. Inside the house, everything we needed was provided: a fully equipped kitchen, cozy beds, air conditioning, and fast Wi-Fi. The hosts were very friendly, always available, and ready to help with anything we needed. We also appreciated the great balance between the peaceful atmosphere of a private house and the convenient location. Highly recommended! We’d definitely love to come back again if we have the chance.

Positive: We loved everything about Chata Gabika. Our children stayed for hours in the wonderful pool. The outdoor area is great with a wonderful view, opportunisters for cooking and sitting all evening. The hosts are so friendly, providing all the information we enedes about the area, trips in the nearby surrundings and visit to Kosice. One of our best holidays ever :)

Negative: The only suggestion we have to improve the House is to hang some curtains or blinds in the upstairs livingroom/bedroom. Otherwise remember a sleeping mask, if you are going to use the second bedroom.

Positive: We stayed at Chata Gabika for 5 days. It was the most memorable days for us. 1. It is a beautiful, independent, one-bedroom Villa located on a hill overlooking the city of Kosice. 2. It is a most relaxing environment, with trees around, a beautiful balcony, and a swimming pool (The pool was closed in the winter). 3. If you go as a family and want to cook at home and stay, they have more utensils than you can imagine, 2 ovens, 2 stoves, and an outdoor grill. 4. Instant hot water comes well in the shower, sink, kitchen, and everywhere. 5. The most friendly house owners Milan (Slovak) and Stefan (English), and ready to support us anytime. 6. Nice furniture all around the house. 7. They kept fruits, snacks, and sandwiches for us. Felt like family members. 8. They also have a goat farm which is fun to go and watch. 9. For kids, they have a nice kid's play area is available. 10. Great place to do Yoga and Meditation. 11. Good and safe parking is available in front of the house. 12. Recommending to carry smaller bags instead of large heavy ones because you need to walk a bit from the parking to the house. 13. They have another gate on the side; we forgot to ask Milan to open it, if you stay, please take the key for the side gate, it is easier and closer to bring the big luggage. It's a paved pathway, and luggage can be rolled on wheels. It's not an issue, it's a suggestion. 14. The final strip of the road is a mud (and small stones) road, so be careful with your car, if it is an SUV it will be more convenient. But I took a Mercedes and drove very carefully, so there was no damage to my car. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we decided to go again this summer. It's a memorable moment.
