A quiet place to rest: the house is a fully renovated traditional Corsican house in granit. The house is very near from the beautiful Palombaggia beach. The house is independant, with a 200 sq. meters garden with flowers and trees.
The private swimming pool is heated; it has two stairs and is separated from the main terrace by a barrier. The house also has a Jacuzzi. The bedrooms and the living room have air conditioned. The kitchen is luxury equipped (american style fridge, induction hobs, drawer oven). Children are welcome (a baby kit can be put at your disposal: changing pad, baby bed, baby cook, high chair).
The house is located on a hill which enables a nice freshness and enjoyable Summer evenings.
The house is directly located on the road leading to Palombaggia (5 minutes drive), one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica, a beach of fine white sand with a clear turquoise-blue water and umbrella pines. You will feel like in the Caraibs!
The house is also close to Santa Giulia beach (10 min), Bonifacio (20km). You can make an excursion to the Lavezzi Islands (by boat) or to the Corsican mountains (Lévie, L'Opédale, Zonza, Bavella) with plenty of beautiful hiking trails (GR20).
You will also enjoy nice shopping in Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio.

Summary: Lovely traditional Corisican home with fantastic outdoor space including large swimming pool, multiple and great outdoor seating areas and pleasant gardens. The property is close to the polambaggia bays making it easy with a car to nip down for a quick swim or go for the day. Easy drive into Porte Vecchio and Bonifacio. Charles, the owner is very welcoming and will recommend places to visit and dine. We had a lovely week.

Summary: We had a wonderful week at Charles’ traditional house. The pool is the highlight, we could not get the kids out! There is plenty of space to dine and socialise inside and out. The fridge/freezer has plenty of room for a week of food and the ice machine was a bonus. You need to drive to the beach, it’s best to go to the large car park at the northern end of palombaggia rather than try to park right at the centre of the beach. Take a trip to bonifacio and up into the mountains too.

Summary: Delightful property for a two week family break, spacious rooms, tastefully furnished, with a very well equipped kitchen. Lovely pool and outdoor terrace for meals (although note the mosquitos and wasps can get a bit annoying!). One drawback was the lack of flynetting on the windows which meant we were rarely able to open them without bugs flying in. Nevertheless wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommended.

Summary: perfect house and pool and terrace! great location! super-nice Wellcome and organization, super clean and proper. The house is actually bigger than it appears from the pictures and we felt like home from the first minute. The surrounding area is full with great activities, from hiking to beach to just hanging out.

Summary: We had a superb stay in this charming private villa in June. We were looking for relaxation and peace and we found it. With unusually high temperatures of 35 c degrees and above for the time of year, we were enormously grateful for both the inviting swimming pool and the AC units in the living room and bedrooms. The en suite bathrooms were practical as we were two couples sharing the house. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is an effective BBQ on the patio which made eating al fresco practical and easy. The two outside dining areas meant that we could choose the shadiest spot for having meals, though shade is inevitably a rarity in the middle of the day. The gardens are well tended and spacious, giving privacy, even though there are neighbouring properties close by. The wifi worked well, as did the TV and smart phone compatible music player. There is an interesting and eclectic collection of DVDs which we had great fun perusing! A car is needed, but amenities are not far. There are well-stocked supermarkets and a boulangerie within 8 minutes' drive and a hypermarket 20 minutes away adjacent to Porto Vecchio. Palombaggia beach is a few minutes drive down hill - it's probably possible to walk there and back, but not in the searing heat that we experienced. We went to the Palm Beach club at Palombaggia where we had a good lunch and the beach amenities (loungers/umbrellas), while not cheap, are in keeping with prices charged in the area. Santa Giulia beach is a different style (more activities) and also worth a visit. The Tamaricciu itinerary is a nice walk along the prettiest part of Palombaggia beach, best attempted early in the morning during the hot season both for finding a parking space and for escaping the crowds. A drive up to Ospedale in the mountains gives a break from the heat as it is a few degrees cooler and there are spectacular views and other delightful walks. We ate at the Auberge U Fontanonu in Ospedale village where we were able to have traditional rustic Corsican food. Porto Vecchio high town makes for a pleasant visit for a couple of hours. All in all, we had a perfect trip and would highly recommend this lovely property.
