Watson Hall is a charming two-bedroom schoolhouse that was originally built in 1913 and recently renovated with into a country retreat with modern amenities. The schoolhouse is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a family with two kids visiting or anyone looking to escape the city. Although in a rural setting, we are only 15 miles from Dulles Airport, Middleburg and downtown Leesburg. Close by you will find a plethora of award winning wineries and unique craft breweries too!
This charming and elegant cottage, originally a schoolhouse, has been renovated to provide guest with a comfortable country retreat experience. The homes layout has been designed to completely utilize the space, while maintaining an open flow.
Living Room: You will find that the layout and color scheme lend to the perfect place to curl up and decompress after a full day of exploring the local area. The space also provides guest with an entertainment area complete with Smart TV and reading material.
Kitchen/dining: The homes open galley kitchen allows guest to flow easily between preparing a meal or snack, while conversing with others in the living area. We have fully equipped the kitchen giving guests the option to dine in.
Primary Bedroom: As you comfort is our main priority, we have furnished the bedroom to reflect a space that is not only cozy, but also functional. The queen bed with high quality linens will guarantee guest get a full night sleep. All furnishing and room décor have been chosen for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom has bunk beds, making it the perfect place for 2 kids to spend the night.
Bathroom: We provide guest with basic toiletries and all needed linens.

Summary: Honestly I don’t think the online listing actually does this property justice. It’s very clean and near everything while feeling nice and secluded. We hope to stay again!

Summary: The schoolhouse was wonderful. The home is super clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing. Best place on VRBO. My husband and I along with our furry family members, enjoyed staying in Leesburg.

Summary: We stayed here while our home in Northern Virginia was put on the market. Our top priorities are king size bed, reliable wifi and dog friendly. We lived here like we live at home, working all day, walking the dogs and cooking meals at home. The place was very clean, quaintly decorated and adequately stocked. Nice plusses were the water bottles left by the host, very high quality sheets and towels, the Nespresso machine (which we will now buy), proximity to lovely walking paths (there's no sidewalk on the street), and despite being rural only 3 miles to a nearby neighborhood with grocery store and high quality restaurants. Stephanie was very responsive to texts. The home is over 100 years old but you'd never know it from the environment. The AC works great, the windows let in a lot of light, and the bathroom is hotel quality. The only "tell" is the slope in the floor...but who cares! Thanks for having us!
