5 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Saint-Savin

After one year of works, the large capacity of the house offers the possibility for organising all your family, friendly, or professional reunions (meeting room). Situated on a promontory, St-Savin, Pyrenean village of the 4th century with a 12th-century abbey church, will seduce you with its medieval timber-framed houses, mills, barns, fountains and drinking fountains. The village, with its prestigious heritage, is included in the Pyrenees National Park, one out of 10 French national parks.
It is an ideal starting point for discovering different ski resorts like Cauterets, Barège - La mongie, Luz Ardiden, Gavarnie and its cirque (UNESCO World Heritage site), or Hautacam; all less than 30 min away from the property. The Pic du Midi, the Vignemale, as well as the mythical Col du Tourmalet, the Soulor, and the Aubisque, loved among the Tour de France cyclists, are also part of the valleys landscape.
The southeast-facing main house measures 300 m². On the ground floor, it consists of a warm wooden entrance, a large fully equipped kitchen and dining room, a living room with a big fireplace, and a TV / lounge area. The first floor has 3 bedrooms with balcony and 2 bathrooms with separate toilets. The house sleeps 8. On the second floor, there is a master bedroom, a bathroom, and 2 other bedrooms (with 4 and 2 beds), great for children.

Summary: The VRBO description of the check in needs updating as it is 5pm not 4pm. (A very minor point) Communication with the hosts was excellent. Its difficult to adequately describe this wonderful place. We were a family group of 12, 3 generations in total. The house is great, with excellent accommodation all round. But the outside space is spectacular. The pool, the Petanque, the outdoor kitchen, the fire pit....seating just everywhere. Views that change as the sky changes and the time of day changes, if you get a clear night spend time star watching. All our family agree that it was their favourite all time holiday. For me I loved watching, the mountains, the sky, the birds, as well as my family having fun. I honestly can't recommend it enough.

Summary: Cendrine and Vincent have created a gorgeous and comfortable haven in the Pyrenees mountains--and a perfect jumping off point to explore a range of breathtaking hikes and bike rides in the surrounding area. Every detail of the home is considered--the comfortable beds, clean fresh linens, the well-stocked kitchen in the Chalet as well as the outdoor kitchen where we cooked all our meals. As big cooks, we are particular about having all the right implements for our culinary adventures and we were not disappointed. The pool was the perfect post-hike hangout for the five cousins (age 14-20) to cool-off and have fun. And there are cozy reading spots to tuck into a good book all around the property for needed down time too. The gift of a bottle of wine, local cheese and fresh bread when we arrived was much appreciated. This was a special place for our families to reunite after so long and we appreciate Cendrine and Vincent for being so helpful.

Summary: We where 9 cyclist visiting the area and found this spacious and charming property. It had all we needed for making our own food and areas for conversation and relaxation. We really enjoyed this place and will for certain return to this beautifull spot in the Pyrennees!

Summary: Eight of us stayed in this well appointed chalet with awesome views of the valley. Huge bedrooms with separate bathrooms was a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and made preparing meals a pleasure. An easy drive to nearby Argeles Gazost complimented the country location. Cendrine and Vincent were perfect hosts. Easy access to cycling routes and beautiful walks made it ideal for our stay as that was the purpose of our holiday.
