Visit our lovely Annexe in this lovely County of ours
The accommodation comprises kitchen/diner with
electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Lounge with colour TV/DVD player Limited Wi-Fi. Connection . Steep staircase leading to 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 single both are en suite to the shower Room.
Off road parking with gated entrance.
No smoking/pets .No Children under 5yrs.
Towels are not provided only a hand towel in the bathroom
The local areas close to the Annexe offers opportunities for any budding artists to try out their skills.
St.Ives, Newlyn and Mousehole are the main artist enclaves in the county and they offer a multitude of fine art galleries including the famous Tate Gallery in St. Ives which also looks after the Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden .
The Cathedral City of Truro is approx eight miles away offering all the modern shops with plenty of local and traditional privately owned shops, great restaurants, museums, markets and many other amenities. There is also a Park and Float system operating just outside Falmouth itself so you can visit Falmouth and the Maritime museum.Weather and date dependant.
Many film and tv productions use various sites in the county including Charlestown worth a visit.
The Eden Project is a must for our visitors and only approx 24miles away, also quite close is the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan.
There are a plethora of gardens some privately run and many owned and run by the National Trust
The area where our Annexe and our home is situated has been named a World Heritage Site and for the enquiring mind the late tin mining era offers fascinating looks into the past with local mines offering opportunities to view this heritage. There is good walking countryside close to us with The Great Flat Lode providing coast to coast walking/biking. A map of the mining trails can be provided

Summary: Unfortunately, I was unwell for most of the stay but the cottage was a perfect place to relax and recuperate. Jill and Roy went out of their way to provide a home from home feel.

Summary: The owner was very fast at responding to our queries during the booking process. The property is located on a quiet street close to the village centre and is ideally situated for reaching beaches on the north and south Cornish coasts. There are many interesting places to explore near the house and the area has a lot of fascinating mining heritage. The swimming pool was a feature that my son particularly enjoyed and some days it was hard to convince him that we were going out to the beach rather than staying at the house because he liked it so much.

Summary: Convenient location for access to north and south coasts. Warm welcome with cream tea and a bottle of wine. Lovely quiet spot away from the main road through Lanner. Wi-Fi limited during our stay, poor weather seemed to be a factor. We did discuss it with the owner and suggested a possible course of action that may help. Would thoroughly recommend The Stag at Ponsanooth for really good local ale, good food including home cooked authentic curries, and a boules pitch to use.

Summary: Roy and Jill made us welcome from the start with a nice bottle of red wine and scones, jam and Cornish clotted cream to boot. The cottage has all the things you need for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately the weather was not great and therefore we only used the indoor pool once as it is heated by the sun and as there wasn't any the pool was a tad on the cold side(no one can control the weather though). The cottage is ideally located as not far to drive to any activities or to eat. We went to The Plume and Feathers in Mitchell as close to some where some friends of ours leave(its about 25 mins from the cottage but worth the drive). overall a nice week.
