Positive: The location. Being in nature and close to both Bruges and Ghent (the two cities we wanted to visit). It was very clean and tidy. With full set of appliances you would require.
Negative: The smell of damp. It is normal for a chalet in woods, though.

Positive: This is a hidden gem. So perfect for a well deserved staycation for a small family or a group of friends. The Chalet is well equipped with all sorts of well functioning gear and has very fine personal and well thought through details. The beds are very good and comfortable. We indeed enjoyed our stay and also loved the serenity of the surrounding nature Thanks Katia!!
Negative: Just very few minor stuff-The exhaust hood in the kitchen was not effective, so were the 2 vacuum cleaners. The dinning table chairs need to be replaced as they are rocky and not comfortable to sit on.
Summary: 5 star hidden gem in Aalter Belgium.

Positive: It was a very well equipped, clean cottage in a very peaceful setting. It had lovely personal touches (like the Champagne in the fridge😁)
Negative: We had problems with the internet. The owners were very helpful and did respond quickly, but could not get the problem sorted for the week we were there. They said they were looking into the matter
Summary: We enjoyed the peaceful environment and the very well equipped cottage. Even the beds were very comfy. If one did not

Positive: Stunning and fantastic location. We were able to get to most places of interest within 40 minutes (Ghent, Bruges, Ypres, Passchendale, etc). There was attention to detail throughout the Chalet. The owner had thought of everything. We had a very relaxing stay and it was so quiet. The bird song each morning was incredible. I highly recommend The Chalet.
Negative: There was a bit of a damp smell from the shower room that wafted into the bedroom overnight.
Summary: A perfect location and relaxing stay.

Positive: We spent three incredible nights at this breathtaking location with my parents. The natural surroundings were absolutely stunning, and the accommodations were exceptional—everything was just perfect. Our host was incredibly kind and very responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was an incredibly cool experience and definitely one of the best places we've ever visited.
Negative: While the location and scenery were amazing, I must note a couple of drawbacks. The toilet facilities weren't up to par, and the absence of a door in the room felt odd and compromised privacy. Additionally, the bed mattresses weren't as comfortable as expected. Despite these shortcomings, the beauty of the location and the hospitality of our host made our stay enjoyable overall.
