Chalet Dillon is a large newly-built 4-bedroom holiday apartment on 2 levels with some of the best views in Wengen! It’s in a quiet location, but just a short walk downhill from the centre of the family-friendly “car-free” village of Wengen.
Chalet Dillon has 4 double bedrooms, accommodating up to 8 people in style and comfort. The spacious master bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom with bathtub with shower overhead and WC and is on the upper floor. The en-suite bathroom also has a second family entrance from the hallway. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and is on the upper floor. The third bedroom has 2 single beds and is on the lower floor. The fourth bedroom has a bunk bed and is on the lower floor. All beds are European sizes. There is a 2nd family bathroom with a shower and WC on the upper floor. There is a 3rd family bathroom with a shower and WC on the lower floor.
Apartment location - at 600m walk from the train station, 450m to the nearest grocery store and 450m to the cable car and nursery ski slopes, mountain hiking trails and ski areas are just a few steps away!

Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if you require assistance to your chalet.

Summary: The primary view shown in the listing is downstairs, but the main living area (for our group anyway) was upstairs. Still nice, but not quite the same. Overall we enjoyed the property, although there were a couple of items that we wanted addressed. Unfortunately, I responded to the text that I received from Wengen apartments requesting help and that text number is unmonitored. FYI it is a fairly steep walk down to get to the unit. Overall would recommend this to stay.

Summary: Wonderful accommodations. The view was stunning. Four bedrooms on two floors with two kitchens and two living areas was super convenient to allow people to separate or be together. Did I mention the views were stunning!!

Summary: The view from both floors was spectacular, the glass doors/walls are brilliant to share the beauty of the surroundings. The chalet in general was very modern, clean and spacious for 8 adults. The kitchen was very well equipped, we were impressed =) add the name on the chalet =)

Summary: Stayed at chalet Dillon for almost one week with family and 2 kids (15 and 11) Lots of room and home is generally well equipped. Communication was easy and so was the furnished app. The views are amazing as is the village of Wengen. Downside is the chalet is at least 10min away from the train station and with an extremely steep climb every time you leave. People with difficulty walking would not do well. Bedding wasn’t comfortable and home was extremely hot as the heat cannot be turned down to under 18degrees despite it being 28-30 outside. It’s a great place overall.

Summary: The property was perfect for us and the view of Lauterbrunnen Valley is spectacular. The house was clean and organized perfectly for us with two living areas and is in a great location. Would definitely stay there again

Summary: Spacious, well equipped, bright modern chalet with amazing views over the Lauterbrunnen valley and the Jungfrau range above. Wengen itself is beautiful with the bakery and Coop providing all we needed. We have hiked above and around Wengen, swum in the lido most days, but also used it as a base for trips a little further afield - paddleboarding on Lake Brienz, swimming at Spiez and Thun lidos. Swiss railway to and from Wengen and connections beyond make it easy to explore. Hoping to come back soon! Nothing - everything was as it should be and Julie was brilliant holding our reservation over during the lockdowns.
