Positive: Fantastic stay at Chale Lodge. Beautiful accommodation with wonderful hosts. Had everything we needed and more. Little touches like washing up liquid, foil, dishwasher tablets, black bags etc were unexpected. Lovely lemon cake on arrival. Modern and clean. Loved watching the farming out the window. Pretty much 20 minutes from all the hotspots !

Positive: Perfectly equipped lodge, everything has been thought of. Great location for a family holiday, hosts are super helpful and friendly. The wood burner and lemon drizzle cake are our favourites.

Negative: Mattress in main bedroom is soft but that’s personal preference.

Negative: As property is located on a working farm if wet weather then entrance to property can be become very slippery and mucky.

Positive: Good location near some of the best beaches and a wonderful pub that you could walk to.

Negative: The decking was uneven and needed treating. The garden would have been nicer if more private with a high fence and some nicer furniture with a parasol and deck chairs we fe3lt it let the property down. Lodge was lovely inside and very comfortable but needed more pots, pans and baking trays for 6 people in the kitchen. Also 10am to vacate the property was a bit early as now you are expected to strip the beds, empty the dishwasher and get rid of the rubbish leaving it all clean. No close supermarket.

Summary: We had a great week mainly due to the weather.

Positive: Very friendly hosts. Good location. Very comfortable lodge. Very good pub in walking distance. We loved our week in this lodge on the island.

Negative: Nothing we were satisfied with everything.
