Positive: The location was beautiful. Rural parkland, with access to cycle & walking routes. Good facilities swimming pool, sauna. Golf club on site, with friendly clubhouse. Offered bikes to take a look around the grounds and area. Which we really enjoyed.

Negative: No restaurant facilities or bar. The staff/ owners were very good and offered to book us a restaurant, but it was a 20-minute drive, and we'd driven all day. We were told it would not be a problem to get a drink, yet we went over to spend some time in the chateau lounge, and we got no response from the bell. Having made several attempts to find someone without success, we brought our own bottle of wine in. This saved us some money, but not the experience we expected or wanted. This did not stop our enjoyment of the stay, and the staff were excellent, but it is worth knowing when making a booking

Positive: Lovely location, beautiful setting, lovely building renovation. Great facilities. The lady serving breakfast was lovely and very accommodating as I have to be dairy free and she made me a special coffee which is above and beyond. Thank you.

Negative: There was only a door to the room, there was no window you could open so over night there was no fresh air in the room. Not a problem for everyone but it was for us as we love fresh moving air.

Summary: Beautiful location, building and modern room, great staff and facilities.

Positive: Matt is a really nice person. The castle is a fantastic mix of old and modern. There are dogs! We absolutely loved our stay and wished that we could have stayed longer. Breakfast the next day was incredible. We ate too much.
