Positive: Absolutely stunning old Castle with a large Park. Our spacious room with terrace was wonderful...with the old antique furniture... also the other rooms of the castle we could admire in a guided tour carried out by the lord of the castle, the kind and helpful host, Monsieur Loic. Unfortunately we could not understand very much because the tour was only in French... 2 days we enjoyed the french breakfast at a long table, which the owner himself has prepared with style in an amazing large room. We could have a great conversation with the other international guests, who stayed there...

Negative: everything was fine... only... its written in booking.com that in our room with terrace would be "1 single bed and 1 large double bed". The single bed was not there.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in this fantastic old castle with a large park

Positive: Breakfast was lovely fresh croissants / bread etc.. The host couldn't be more helpful, very lovely man. Really loved the history side of the building - like stepping back in time. It was a really lovely stay.

Negative: To be absolutely perfect - we would love to have been able to have dinner at the Chateau, but this isn't something that they currently offer.

Summary: A special and unique overnight stay - in hindsight it would of been lovely to stay longer.

Positive: The chateau is a beautiful place. We had a lovely entrance hearing the sound of an aria playing from the sound system, which I will not forget. It truly feels like a grand, ancestral home still loved by the people who live there. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, speaking in both French and English. The room was spacious and the bathroom very well renovated. The dining and living rooms available to guests had a classic and grand feeling to them as well, while still being comfortable and homey.

Positive: We have stayed at many chateaus in France (we love staying in them) but this truly tops them all! Staying with the heir to this castle (his family has been here 400+ years) was a gift we will probably never have again (except for returning here, which we will). The family's portraits are on the walls still, the courtyard of honor, the drawing rooms, even a harpsicord. For Americans it was the heir of this Chateau at the time which led the French brigade assisting the Americans in the American Revolution! He was shot and buried in Rhode Island. Breakfast was delightful - delicious bread and viennoiseries and the most delicious coffee of our trip. Thank you!
