Negative: Dryer old and took a long time to dry things More kitchen plates bowls and cups needed so you don’t have to was up all the time The fold out bed had broken legs not even on the bed. Had to support using pillows

Positive: Nice apartment in a fantastic location in The Rocks area of Sydney. Great home base for exploring the city. Within 5 min walk to Circular Quay for sight-seeing and transportation options. The building itself is lovely, and has fantastic views of Sydney Harbor from the building's pool/gym area (which was an added bonus during Vivid Sydney - photo included). Lots of dining options within a short walk of the apartment. Great communication from the host, and no issues finding the keys in the lockbox or accessing the apartment. The pictures of the apartment are accurate. It's spacious and has a nice living and dining space with nice views of the city. The bathroom is large and modern, and the bedroom has a large closet and a queen bed that was reasonably comfortable. The washer and dryer was really helpful too - we were able to pack lighter knowing we could do laundry in the middle of our stay. The kitchen had most of the amenities we needed. It was quite comfortable for me and my husband (less so for our teenage son on the "sofa bed"). Would definitely stay here again, if it was just the 2 of us.

Negative: There is no coffee maker in the apartment. There's an electric kettle and some packets of instant coffee, but I'm not a fan of instant so we had to go out each morning to get our coffee. Fortunately, there are a lot of options close by. Not a problem if you're not a coffee drinker (or if you don't hate instant coffee!). The bigger issue for us was the "sofa bed" that our teen son slept on. It was some sort of mattress/pad on a frame on the floor next to the sofa. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable (he could feel the frame when he laid down on it) - we had to use the couch cushions and an extra comforter from the closet as additional padding to make it comfortable enough for our son to sleep on, and even then he wasn't thrilled with it (the cushions would slide around every time he moved). If there are only two of you (or maybe a couple with a younger/smaller child), don't let this keep you away!! With the exception of the sofa bed, I highly recommend this apartment!

Negative: Not a negative - just a tip for those arriving on foot with suitcases - entry and exit to the Quay building via Wilson Parking lift Harrington Street is a must.

Negative: On the second visit it wasn't as clean - blood spots on a corner of the top sheet and some of the doors were dirty. For both the visits the freezer was unusable as it was frozen solid.
