Positive: The design of lodge was well thought out. The hot tub was well specced and the place was very clean with a great view.

Negative: The host came across as quite cold and seemed quite un accommodating. The bed is ridiculously soft, and when asked if there were any more pillows I could use to support my neck (after an operation) I got a very blunt "The property has 2 pillows for each guest". The pillows were quite cheap and flat. We asked for an early check in and we were asked to leave to £30 cash in an envelope. This would have been easier if we could have done it through booking.com instead.

Why We Loved It: The Personal Touch: The owner went above and beyond by decorating the entire lodge for Valentine's Day before we arrived. It made the experience feel incredibly personal, intimate, and truly special. The Atmosphere: From the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfectly curated for a romantic retreat. It’s clear that a lot of heart and soul goes into maintaining this property. The Hot Tub: The absolute highlight! There is nothing quite like soaking in the hot tub under the stars to melt away any stress. It was clean, private, and the perfect temperature. Final Verdict: This lodge is a hidden gem. Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary or just need a break from the "real world," Cedar Lodge provides the perfect backdrop. We left feeling refreshed and very lucky to have found such a beautiful spot. We will definitely be back!

Positive: The place was very good and exactly as shown in the pictures—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped.

Negative: The hot tub was a disappointment. When we arrived, it was only 35°C and took several hours to reach 40°C. Once we got in and turned on the jets, dirt rings came up with the bubbles, and there were over 20 dead flies floating in the water. Everything else about the stay was great, but the hot tub clearly hadn't been cleaned properly.

Positive: We loved the location, perfect for a quiet weekend away but close enough to nearby facilities.

Negative: I would say the check in and check out time spoilt it for us as we only went for one night and we couldn’t make the most of it with having to check out the following morning at 10am. Also the hot tub was quite worn as filters were unscrewed and were floating around and also it was hard to make out the buttons due to so much usage.
