Positive: Great location, nicely kept. House and grounds were beautiful. Quiet, peaceful.

Negative: There was a bit of an ant problem. WiFi was awful - they said in the book that this was because they were in the country, but I struggled to connect to the AP in the cottage even when in the same room. £30 surcharge for use of the hot tub seems cheeky when you’re paying £170 a night. Also this wasn’t made very clear at the start (without going into the full list of facilities on booking.com).

Summary: Was really nice, but could improve in one or two areas.

Negative: Poor WiFi. Otherwise very minor things… A bit of milk for a cup of tea on arrival, a few spare plates and glasses and a kitchen utensils were very basic

Positive: The grounds and house were stunning. The flat had everything you need . Was very cosy ,and comfortable.

Negative: There was nothing to not like ! Maybe a TV in bedroom,.. Also would love to have somewhere to let the dog off the lead.

Negative: Wifi and phone signal wasn't great but could get a stronger signal near doors/windows. TV didn't want to work and kept cutting out.

Positive: this cottage met all our needs privacy, easy to find, peaceful, cosy - the log fire was delightful and the hot tub worth paying the extra fee for the use (we understand the cost on electricity these days) The setting is so beautiful for a leisurely walk and we were allowed to take our small jack russell who enjoyed the walks and the warmth of the cottage.

Negative: This is minor and does not impact us ever staying there again as we want to go back but we really could have done with some extra cutlery teaspoons and knives and forks there were only 2 of each.

Summary: delightful, comfortable would love to go back very soon

Positive: Location was lovely very pretty very remote. Beds were comfortable & the hot tub was lovely.

Negative: The fridge needed a good clean, as well as the shower - Fridge had dog hairs, it had quite obviously not been cleaned for some time. Shower again probably had a quick once over. There was no one on reception when we arrived luckily there was someone who spotted us after a while, but couldn’t locate a bell to alert we were there.

Summary: Lovely location and setting, very relaxing. Could definitely do with a bit of a better clean.
