Summary: The hotel was nice. Bedroom was cozy and quirky (21). Unfortunately the TV was not working in our room. It was a shame as it was our Anniversary and after dinner we wanted to relax in our room and watch TV. I have never experienced this ever in my 30 years of travelling the world. A Sorry or a small discount does not hide the incompetence of this. Surly you would check each room to make sure every thing is in working order, especially the TV. Th e Food was okay. I stayed at the Fischers Baslow Hall the night before. Great Food and service

Summary: Room spotless. Refurbished beautifully. Views towards Chatsworth amazing. Garden room restaurant pleasant. Menu was reasonable. Eg Haddock and chips generous but vegetarian options lacking either in portion size or flavour. Breakfasts were stunning and faultless. We will definitely book to go again as we loved it!

Summary: Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot on the Chatsworth Estate. Had a gorgeous room with a super comfy bed. Dinner on the terrace was delicious and very cozy. We were lucky with the weather so really nice to have some patio time. Would definitely stay there again

Summary: We last visited in 2021 and were looking forward to seeing the recent refurbishment and new Garden Room. The new decor is more modern and the Garden Room provides an impressive second restaurant. On our last visit we felt welcome as house guests. This time, not so much. Sometimes the service was great. Other times we felt invisible. The receptionists now handle phone calls. We came with our bags to check in and were faced a single receptionist deep in conversation - apparently with someone trying to book a room. There was not even eye contact to acknowledge we were waiting. After quite some time, a porter appeared and offered to show us to our room. He managed to attract attention to find our room number. Later in the evening we had a booking in the garden room for dinner and went to the bar for a drink. We picked up the menus and were told we could order when we got to our table. Service was extremely slow. The food was good but not remarkable. The bedroom was revamped in a modern style but the bathroom still had some old fashioned features like an over bath shower that wanted to hit the bath surround. Overall - a great location and potentially a great hotel.

Summary: I would avoid staying here if you want a quiet nights sleep. We paid for a top room and it was directly above the lounge / dinning area and it’s disturbingly noisy. We came away for a quiet night and didn’t get any sleep. The noise didn’t calm down until midnight. Not a happy experience
