Positive: Love the small, quiet town of Volpaia. Well furnished rooms with tasteful decor. The restaurants were amazing and also the breakfast is good. Overall a unique experience and definitely will be back.

Positive: What a place and brilliant food in the Osteria. Very comfortable room and great view. Very honestly friendly and helpful with all. I am very happy we changed to the suite, as a dream place too stay.

Positive: Although we were late arriving, Lorenzo was very efficient and accommodating. Donika was waiting for us as we drew up in the square, and kindly showed us to our beautiful room, and made sure our reservation at the restaurant was kept open. We had a wonderful stay - so good to return to the area after nine years and to find it still as amazing as we remembered it! The room was full of character - clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view - and breakfast on the terrace was excellent. What more do you need?! We shall definitely be returning!

Positive: We stayed in the Apartment which had this amazing view and yard that looked over the rolling hills of Tuscany. The little "town" was perfect for meals - we had dinner at Bar Ucci (great pasta!) and Osteria di Volpaia (probably some of the best food we had our whole trip - get the pheasant ravoli and the florentine steak at a minimum!), The staff was extremely welcoming and breakfast was fantastic each day. Major shout out to our two friends at breakfast setting up a fantastic spread, freshly made eggs, and a high chair for our toddler. Each of the staff members made us feel SO at home especially with our little curious toddler. Other major highlights: the towels in the apartment were so thick and plush (normally places like this have very thin towels that are hard to use). Honestly our stay was a dream, we loved every second of it. We took a tour of the entire winery and how they have repurposed this medieval town to product wine. We bought a bottle then enjoyed the view from our yard. It was the perfect place to slown down a little and just enjoy the beauty of Tuscany.

Negative: The lunch options were difficult - I had read only that the Forno Volpaia had breads, pizzas, etc., throughout the day so we were expecting more options than just focaccia and salami. That was difficult for us specifically because we had a sleeping toddler and couldn't easily go out for more food. I know it would potentially take away from the quaintness of Volpaia but it was hard to have access to nothing else we would need (the nearest small grocery store was 11 minutes away which isn't bad but having access to some basics would be nice, even just behind the front desk).

Summary: Fantastic, cozy stay in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Would stay here again!!

Positive: We stayed two nights in Volpaia Castle, took two rooms for a family of four. The landscape is just great! The hotel is sort of a mini village that contains the hotel, several small restaurants and the vineyard. The drive to it and from it isn't easy, but it sure worth it. The two rooms were great. We had two very good dinners in the local Bar-Ucci with good Tuscan food and great service.

Negative: The breakfast needs some improvement. The coffee wasn't very good and the variety of things was on the thin side.
