Positive: The location is amazing and the staff very helpful. The outdoor hot pools available all day until midnight is an exceptional experience.

Negative: Some decoration is a little bit outdated and the bathrooms may need soon to be renovated … but overall an excellent experience.

Positive: This is not the first time we have visited the hotel-SPA, and we can say that in this case we found ourselves quite satisfied. Being able to swim in the thermal water pool is a wonderful experience. Also pleased that the thermal baths could be taken right in the room. The most valuable thing about the hotel is its location. Whilst the service was decent, it's accessibility to the main wine regions, and views in all directions was still the most important thing. Stepping out on the patio or climbing out of the pool we were directly frozen by the incredible beauty of Val d'Orcia. The staff were very attentive and tried their best to help. For example, the nearest bridge over the Orcia River was closed for repairs and we would have had to take a circuitous route to the restaurant. However, the member of staff at reception found out that the bridge was accessible at the weekend, even though all the navigators showed otherwise, and we saved a lot of travelling time. One of the most powerful experiences was a wine tasting in the Castle, conducted by the hotel sommelier. He told us about local wine in a wonderful, clear and interesting way, showed us vineyards, shared the secrets of their care and explained the peculiarities of each variety tasted. We were very impressed and grateful for this unique experience!

Negative: As usual, the bathroom is categorically lacking in clothes hooks, there could have been a lot more of them. The staff did not always understand what we asked them to do, probably due to a lack of English.

Summary: We recommend this hotel to everyone as the best solution when travelling to Tuscany!

Negative: Two sandwiches and two waters $140. Couples massage $640. Breakfast you get minimum stuff and have to pay for eggs and everything else! Rip off
