Positive: A great location, with great environment to visit the region and not far from Slovenia. A great gold as well. Restaurants and breakfast are great with lovely staff. Great wine to choose from, to taste and buy as well.

Positive: The suite is big and clean, beautiful decor and authentic vibes. Big bed, great air conditioner, room very silent. Excellent! Beautiful views surrounding the castle. Wonderful atmosphere and stunning views.

Negative: We always end our travels with a hotel with amazing photos, score and wonderful atmosphere. Everything, that we thought also from Castello Di Spessa. The photos in booking.com had the pool and it wasn't mentioned, that it is for extra cost - 20 EUR per person (also the kids) for 2 hours. This should be included in the suite price and normally it is. (but not here) Breakfast - a bit disappointing. I expected far better selection for this money. It was very average and modest. We have paid less for a night in North Italy (to have correct comparison) and had a barista make a fresh coffee and a chef prepare a fresh omelette. Here it would have been for extra cost... :O I had far higher expectations for the castle breakfast. We have travelled to different hotels around the world with very different budgets and with such budget per night, at least the guests have been better appreciated than here... E.g bottled water in the room would have been at minimum appreciation expected. In many other places even with lower price, there have been welcoming drinks, wine or sparkling wine :) Not saying it is a must and really I can buy my own, but just saying, that it is a bit overpriced for what you get. :)

Summary: Had higher expectations for the price paid. Beautiful, but that's just it.
