Summary: The Ponte Levatoio room was amazing. It was like living in the 13th century with all the modern conveniences. The food and the view from the hotel restaurant patio was perfect!

Summary: We had such a great time at Castello di Monterone. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay—always available and super welcoming. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our room was spotless, the shower was fantastic, and everything felt very comfortable. The castle itself is beautiful and full of charm—it really feels like a special place. It’s also just a few minutes’ drive from the old town, which made exploring easy. We also really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was delicious—we tried the crocchette di patate, tartare di manzo al coltello, tagliolini al ragù, lasagna vegetariana, crema di pomodoro, and costolette di agnello. Everything was tasty and the restaurant staff were just as lovely as the rest of the team. Breakfast was great too, with lots of choices and everything fresh. And on hot days, the swimming pool was a real treat. All in all, a fantastic experience. We’d definitely love to come back.

Summary: Unique experience staying in an 800 year old castle for the night. Immaculately maintained, helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful room, and very good breakfast with ample options. Very highly recommended.

Summary: This property is a castle located on a hillside overlooking a beautiful valley. It features a pool, hot tubs and sauna as well as a beautiful dining area. Despite being an old castle, there is a well functioning ventilation system that eliminates any musty or moldy smell one might expect. It is clean and in good repair but not at the expense of old world charm
