Positive: If you want to be treated like royalty, live like a queen, take daily swims in the pool, enjoy first class breakfasts and top dinners, this is the place for you. We came by car so all the nearby medieval villages+castles were easily reachable.

Positive: We loved every single thing! I lack words to describe how happy we are that we chose this place. We are vegan and they were super conscious about all food, they knew the ingredients and allergens of everything. We had wide choice of food to eat for breakfast and the service was extremely polite and knowledgeable. We felt like in a movie and we regretted a lot that we didn’t stay there for longer. The conditions were amazing, the surrounding was incredible, the birds chirping was waking us up in a most perfect way. I cannot add more to it. It’s all just an amazing experience to be there and surely we will come Back to this extraordinary place!!! Also it was a pleasure to meet the owner - Orlando was very helpful and told us the story of this castle. Thank you all for the most amazing two night we had with you!!!

Positive: We have stayed in many hotels in Europe during the past 40 years and this is one of the best in terms of comfort, value for money and staff. It is not so much a beautiful hotel but a stately home which it used to be in times gone by. It is still owned by the same family and every room is furnished with their personal antiques and pictures and each time we stay here we feel honoured. The hotel also has a very good restaurant with a very good wine selection.

Positive: Very beautiful palazzo. Very comfortable and quiet. Wonderful. In fact quite unique. We would love to go back.

Negative: The only little issue was the removal of the trash at 5:30am in the otherwise perfectly quiet little square in front of the castello. We could hear it quite loud in our beautiful room. That wasn’t great, but it didn’t last long, though.
