Positive: We loved our stay at Castaway . We booked it for a family group to attend a wedding nearby . What a beautiful place to spend with family for a special occasion. The scenery is amazing from every room . We had a storm one night it it was spectacular to watch from this view point . The restaurant was excellent , the rooms modern and spacious . Only thing we missed was a coffee machine in the rooms but the restaurant did offer excellent coffee .

Negative: Coffee plunger or machine in the rooms would’ve been great

Positive: Second stay and loved how quiet it was . Surf and sunsets never disappoint. Staff attentiveness to welcoming and leaving and small details excellent.

Negative: N/a I am puzzled by some of the very negative reviews. Castaways Resort Waiuku stays true to the West Coast of NZ. There is surf, black sand, and wind it is part of the beauty of this resort.

Summary: Second time staying. It will not be the last.
