Positive: Location close to the main road is good, also it has a nice layout and combination of restaurant and pool. The breakfast is really nice and delicious. The host is very kind and helpful, with anything you ask.

Negative: The room is very basic and bare bone, minimal furniture (r chairs), minimal cutlery (4 spoons, 4 knives etc). There are no mosquito nets at the windows so you have to choose between not sleeping because of warmth or because of the many insects and mosquitoes. The grass is dried up and not dog friendly, there are many prickly plants and wild bushes.

Positive: We had the most wonderful stay at Casale Rancaglia and cannot rate it more highly. Andrea went above and beyond to be helpful and did everything possible to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and got the most from the area. He took great care to plan a couple of walks for us which were excellent and recommended several places to visit. This place is friendly, welcoming and relaxed and nothing is too much trouble. The food was also excellent and the views were breathtaking.

Negative: Nothing. It was faultless.

Positive: The beautiful building and amazing scenery was the perfect backdrop for our holiday. Andrea and Mama were delightful, providing helpful tips on the area and created such delicious food for us. We ate so well for breakfast each morning, it was a highlight! The kids were a fan of the pool and the adorable cats, especially beautiful Stella. And the pasta making class was so fun! We all had such a lovely stay at Casale Rancaglia and would love to visit again

Negative: There is honestly nothing we didn't like. If I had to say one thing, the mattress in our room was a little hard but that didn't take away from the beautiful serenity of the place. It was truly a memorable stay and I would highly recommend.

Positive: Location, views, excellent room, well appointed, log fire laid each day for us on colder nights. Superb home-grown and home-cooked food in plenty...lovely innovative dishes using wild herbs and own fruit and vegetables plus fresh eggs from own chickens. Andrea and Rosa were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Negative: Nothing! Only SLIGHT drawback which some people might not like is the rather rough road leading to it. We found it fun and part of the charm of the deep countryside.
