Positive: Up one floor. Very nice breeze enters the apartment. Air conditioning present. Very easy to get around.

Negative: Small shower. Galley kitchen. Tight quarters. One way road. Very busy during the day with locals using it as a short cut.

Positive: Great locality, mind you the access steps are incredibly steep and tricky with luggage. Close to train station and numerous food outlets. Contained everything we needed for our four days

Negative: It feels a bit like a student flat in terms of decor, and is pretty small. The bed has a hard mattress (like many places we stayed in Italy) which was uncomfortable. The table in the kitchen makes it difficult to move around, and isnt really needed as there is a dining table too.

Summary: Really good host, close to amenities, in the romantic part of town, so a great base.

Positive: Beautiful little flat in an amazing location. Host met us & got us set up with many good suggestions. Wonderful location for visiting the Ville & many good restaurants. Highly recommend. Note: if you cannot manage stairs you should not book. 2 flights of steep stone steps.

Negative: Proximity to everything in the historic center.

Summary: If you visit to see Villa D’Este this is the place to be.
