Positive: The place looks like a fairytale, the garden and pond are beautiful, the building is cozy and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. The coffee at breakfast was great, so are the croissants! A nice variety of cold meats, cheeses, a great boost to start the day.

Negative: There is no elevator, the dinner at the restaurant was slow (all of the dishes took a long time to be made) and we ended up returning the same dish twice, but the service was nice, they really made an effort to take care of us... The desserts were delicious!

Positive: We arrived very late but the staff came out to greet us and got us parked up. They offered us a complimentary cognac and showed us to our room. The whole place was built by the owner and used a lot of natural wood as furniture. The breakfast was a traditional Romanian one (others were on offer) and was all home made. The hotelier was extremely helpful and spoke good English. If you want a corporate experience, this isn’t the hotel for you but as a genuine example of Romanian hospitality at a good price, you won’t do any better.

Summary: It was very homely and comfortable and we ended up making friends with other guests too.
