Positive: Enjoyed hearing of the history of the house from the neighbor that we bumped into on the morning walks. It seem that this house was featured in Better Homes and Garden. In addition an American painter stayed there for extended period of time.

Negative: The interior is great, only issue is on the last morning the lower bathroom flooded with sewer water, upper bathroom was taking a shower when it happened. The night before the loud water sounds were coming out the bar sink near the patio. Also, upper bath sink was slow to drain. Only had wood of one night’s fire (prepacked wood). Had to drive down to my old neighbors house off of Ridge Road to pick up some more wood. Do not understand why they installed two ovens when most need microwaves, the microwave was small. Better to run separate elec circuits have have to microwaves. The exterior of the house has extensive deferred maintenance on the house, W entrance has silt on the path into the front door, the steps have wood that has deteriorated. The garden shed has years of leaves inside it. A fallen tree has not been chopped up and the crown of the tree is laying near the shed on top of the prized walkway garden. Wood pile was covered with leaves and all wood was rotten or soak.

Positive: The location was great and the natural surroundings. The appearance of the home was good.

Negative: The top room was not clean adequately. We were not able to sleep there because of the condition of the actual bed. There were significant mice droppings on the bed and pillows evident that the cleaning was not completed before our arrival.

Positive: WE LOVED this place. Booked it pretty much accidentally since it was cheaper than most of the hotels on our road trip from LA to San Fran. A beautiful beautiful house in the middle of nowhere that I didn’t even wanna leave and wanted to just stay there and chill forever. Honestly regretted booking it just for the weekend. If it weren’t literally across the globe from where I live, I’d be back asap. Loved it.
