Positive: Casa Novelhos was exactly what we were looking for- secluded and quiet, specious and generously equipped. The location is heaven for those looking to get away from the city hassle. It’s a driving distance from a supermarket and a couple of small restaurants and for us who prefer cooking their own meals the kitchen was like at home. Miguel was very kind, responsive and trustful. Many of the Douro valley treasures are within a 30-90 minutes drive. The house is also surrounded by hidden gems to hike and explore by just existing the front gate. Highly recommended.

Positive: The place was nice and modern with comfortable accommodations. There is a private garage and a pool for guests as well. They were very nice to accept us on short notice!
