Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The host was excellent from the very beginning. Great communication at every step. His attitude and demeanor were exactly what is needed. He made sure that we were welcome, provided his own parking spot to us, and everything worked like a charm. We woke up with a view to behold, and exactly what we wanted. It was a very pleasant stay at the house. At a very reasonable price.

Negative: The house itself was great. The journey to the property was, however, further than we had expected. I guess it depends on why you're staying there. We wanted to visit Portofino and Genoa, so driving took a lot of time. Aside from this, it was a great place to stay. Seeing the real Italian countryside was wonderful. However, Italian driving in very narrow countryside roads is not an experience that I would wish on anyone. No one follows the rules and the speed signs change virtually every hundred meters. No one slows down on the roads, even when there's only enough space for one vehicle, even on extremely sharp bends. I'm surprised that I didn't see a constant stream of accidents on the roads. This has nothing to do with the house, but expect such driving issues if you want to stay further out from more populated residential areas.

Summary: Wonderful place to stay in every way.
