Positive: The location is perfect. The property is lush and beautiful. Daily housekeeping is a plus. Hot breakfast was added this year (eggs & potatoes). Great food from the Thai Food truck located on the property. Sunset Sail was awesome (also located on the property). Free use of kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles.

Negative: The pool could use a heater.

Summary: This was our second year staying at Casa Morada. We love the property, staff, and tranquility.

Positive: Stunning views. Loved all the amenities offered.

Negative: There is a tree branch that really needs removed or at the very least marked better. Went to back in a spot and due to it being just high enough my camera or sensor didn't pick it up till my rear window was completely shattered. Had to spend our Saturday driving to homestead to get it fixed. Wasting a day of our trip. All staff did was say ohhh I'll tell the owner. We heard nothing else about it.

Summary: We would stay here again.

Positive: Breakfast was ok. Nothing over the top. It’s tough to have an elegant buffet with scrambled eggs. Can’t really keep it piping hot. The coffee and croissants were excellent. Yogurt was cold, which is tough in 95 degree temperature. I would have enjoyed more continental type bfast. Too hot for eggs and bacon. Orange Juice was very cold and tasty. The outdoor area was serene but did not have enough cooling. One floor fan wasn’t adequate. The hostess was lovely. Made a cappachino if you wanted one. The accomodation was fine. We had problems with the TV, told the staff and they brought in a different tv which worked fine. Bed was comfortable and the temp of the suite was perfect. Well air conditioned. Their was a hot tub on the private deck but with 95 degree temperature, I wasn’t going to take one. The outdoor bar/pool deck was serene and perfect for our needs. I’m not a big drinker, but to grab a refreshing cocktail or beer under cover on the gulf side and look out into the gulf was very relaxing and I enjoyed watching the fabulous sunset. We purposely chose a place on the gulf side of the keys for its serenity. Having an outdoor pool was one of the main reasons we chose this venue. Wanted a quiet laid back place. The location was perfect for our needs. The Shrimp Shack was a short walk and the food /service was outstanding!

Negative: The staff was very accommodating and pleasant when you finally got a hold of them. The phone number given to us by the check-in person was a problem. You call the number, leave a message and had no response during normal workday hours. Nobody was at the front desk. The call back was 30 minutes later. I did appreciate that I was able to use the garden hose to get the road dirt off of my car.

Summary: We had a very enjoyable quick getaway to Islamorada. We enjoyed the Casa. We will return.
