Summary: We loved our stay at the ramshackle and attractive Playa Larga right on the beach in the beautiful Bay Of Pigs. Odette is a gracious and generous host. The breakfast is large and tasty eaten in front of the stunning Carribean Sea in the morning when the setting is so calm and serene - and best coffee we had in Cuba! The strong Arabica kind common to western Cuba. The town is quite walkable and has a couple of nice good value restaurants at Don Luis and the ever smiling Mora. Odette can also arrange a trip to the nearby Cave of Fishes for snorkelling and in our case onward transport to Cienfuegos for $15 US per person. Highly recommend Casa Mesa.

Summary: Lovely relaxed stay for 3 days. Great location on the beach easy walk to bars & restaurants. Lovely hosts who even made a delicious birthday cake for my wife, couldn’t ask for more. Must be some of the most friendly hosts in Cuba. Thank you.

Summary: I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Mesa. The room was very comfortable and right on the beach. Breakfast was ample and served with a smile. My hosts and the staff were very kind even though I spoke very little English. Organised my collective to the next destination. Definitely would stay here again.

Summary: Perfectly placed on the beach for beautiful tranquility - its literally beach on your doorstep! Staff were so kind and welcoming and set us up with incredible tours of the nearby Zapata nature reserve. If you are coming to Cuba this is a must stay!
