Positive: Lorena, the host, was amazing and made us feel at home every day while we were there. Breakfast was tasty and they were preparing it earlier than usual as we had early morning tours. We felt very connected with the nature and spent amazing days.

Negative: Although we liked it all, visitors should be aware that the place is close to the water so at night there will be bugs all around, they were not annoying to us tho :)

Positive: Best host! We were only there for a night before our Amazon trip but couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. They were very friendly and accommodating. Took the time to show us around town and recommendations for places to eat. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Positive: The hosts were exceptionally, they welcomed me like family, were really available and flexible and accompanied me on trips o wanted to do to the jungle. The food was great thay they prepared. Excellent English language skills. The lodge is covered in paintings as they are both artists which made it feel full of life. The rooms was clean and cleaned regularly. It was relatively quiet compared to Iquitos but still close to Iquitos and the airport. Fan was provided. Mostly I was just blown away by the hosts themselves, wonderful and caring people.

Negative: Neighbours still play loud music.

It’s rare to find this level of care in hospitality, and it truly made our stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for an immersive, local experience with heartwarming family hospitality, this place is it.

Positive: We had an amazing stay at Casa Kukama, which is located a bit outside of Iquitos in the small village of Santo Tomas. We loved the authentic Amazon experience we had together with the hosts. Pablo and Lorena were incredibly welcoming and we learned a lot from them. The lodge is very cozy.

Negative: Breakfast was not consistant. I personally would prefer a fresh continental breakfast every morning, juice, bread and butter/jam and coffee.

Positive: i liked the authenticness of the lodge as we could see the neighbors fishing in the river daily. i enjoyed walking along the river to enjoy nature. The lodge was unique and exactly what i wanted in a jungle feel type lodge. A friend had purchased a small piece of land nearby so we could stay very close by. Not too hot but very enjoyable to have a few beers in Santo Tomás on the street in the shade
