Positive: Central location, nice pool, good ac, friendly staff. Classic tours and private transport from/to Neiva airport can be arranged at reception, pricing is competitive.

Positive: Very good value for money. The room is big and the pool is great. There is also a lot of space to sit and work with the laptop. Aircon is great too. Location is great, a short walk from the main square.

Negative: Sometimes was very loud outside (motorcycles, really lpud music at 6am), not even with earplugs could I sleep longer than 6am. Some of the staff was not that friendly...for exception of the lady who was cleaning and took care of our laundry, she was really nice. The others felt like lazy or with small motivation. Shower has cold water only. Wifi didn't work that well but I think this is an overall connectivity issue there.

Positive: The room was very clean. The staff, Esperanza and her colleague, were very accommodating. They prepared us a nice salad for breakfast as we are vegan. They offered us ice cubes so we could drink cold water. They even apologized for the noise caused by somebody's late check-in. The swimming pool is a plus in Villavieja's hot weather. They offer good value tours (with or without guide) to the Desierto de Tatacoa. The restaurant they recommended (Sal si puedes) was very good.

Negative: Although I had asked for a quiet room I was given one near the reception which meant it was noisy from people who checked-in late. There were also some inconsiderate guests who banged the doors. There is a pane above the door that lets the corridor lights in and one can't sleep before they are turned off. Internet was sketchy. The first day it was fine, the second one I couldn't connect. I'm not sure if it was an automated message but I got a message from the hotel stating I had to prepay the room rate at some Colombian bank! The rate I got from booking was less than the rate the hotel had from booking. At the end the receptionist said he would sort it out with booking. But the whole thing was upsetting.
