Positive: Very modern, super clean and right on the camino. We arrived on 08.05.2026 soaking wet and cold, and were welcomed by a lovely lady at the reception. She didn't speak any english, and our spanish is very bad, but she had a translation app ready, so it was very easy to communicate. The room was spacious, good size, very comfy bed and good pillows. A very big bathroom with a good shower. There was a laundry room with a big washing machine at @€4.50 and a tumble dryer at €1 which we needed that day.

Negative: The room was a bit cold, especially on the cold day we had. The pilgrim meal did not have a veggie or fish option, had to give it a miss.

Positive: One of the best stays of our Camino. The proprietress was lovely, our room was comfortable, clean and modern, and the meal was one of the best I've had in Spain. Oh, what I'd give for another bowl of that Galician soup! She used Google Translate to tell us about the vegetables from their garden and where the local meat is sourced. The location is right off the Camino and the views are lovely. They also have washers and dryers on site. This is the place to stay in Fonfria!
