Positive: Very nice host family, we arrived late (and got a little lost) and they were very helpful. Clean apartment, 6th floor so nice views across to Etna (and the sea) from the balcony. Insect nets on the windows. A/C worked fine. Close to the airport (for our early flight) which is why we chose it and stayed just for 1 night - only a 7min drive. Pizza place a short walk away was handy. Easy parking (in gated area) for 3 Euros.

Negative: Not in the tourist area so could look unappealing to some at night. It wasn't an issue for us. No tap in the kitchen sink.

Positive: The host family is very nice and friendly. It is spotlessly clean. And the view is fabulous. The volcano in one direction, the sea in the other. The noise from the airport is not heard at all.
