Positive: The chalet and gardens were all on one level with no stairs, which suited us perfectly. There was the option of air conditioning when it got uncomfortably hot for us on a couple of days. It is in a very private, quiet location, so perfect for getting away from it all. The chalet is very well equipped and we were able to cook our own meals if we did not want to go to a restaurant.It is very clean and homely.

Negative: Unfortunately we were there during a village celebration weekend - 17, 18 June - and extremely, deafeningly loud traditional music was played non stop through loud speakers about 100 yards from the chalet, which could be heard for miles around, from 9.20am Saturday to 2am Sunday and then started again 9.20 am Sunday presumably for the rest of the day. We requested it to be turned down but it was still very annoyingly, monotanously loud. We realize we cannot and should not try and change traditions but for foreign visitors it was unpleasant and opposite to the lovely peace and quiet we had enjoyed all week. It would be worth enquiring if any celebrations were scheduled during your stay. This is the only negative we have on our stay here, which is beyond anyone's control. There is no washing machine, which we did not mind. We washed by hand and had brought our own washing line and pegs. Clothes dry very quickly in the lovely climate. I thought I might mention the addition of a kettle - preferably electric - would have made the chalet even more perfect.
