Positive: One of our best stays ever! Host couple met us and showed us in detail the entire wonderful 2 story house and grounds. Very comfortable stay. They checked in frequently to assure all was good with us! A welcoming selection of treats not to be believed- large charcuterie platter with 4 types of sausage, prosciutto, cheeses, tomatoes, fresh sliced bread and a bottle of their own wine from a wine cooperative. There were a dozen fresh eggs from their farm, milk, and more. There house was exceedingly well equipped in both the kitchen/dining area, and the bedrooms/bathrooms. The hosts were perhaps the friendliest we have ever encountered, both introducing us to their home, answering our questions, and sharing local information, hiking suggestions, stories, history, etc without concern for time! The house is located 4-5 minutes down a lovely winding wooded country road from town, and then a short driveway to even more private setting, with adjacent fields and wild horses, and views of the mountains in several directions. It was quiet here and very dark at night(stars!). Short drives in both directions led to several wonderful walking trails of different difficulty and all beautiful, as well as nearby sites in the National Park. If you like to hike/walk and enjoy being in a nice modern compound in a very quiet location not far from a picturesque small town, this stop is highly recommended.

Negative: Absolutely nothing. This property and hosts were excellent all around.

Positive: Our stay at Casa do Fasco was nothing short of exceptional. This beautifully remodeled three-bedroom, three-bath home is exquisitely furnished, with every imaginable comfort and convenience thoughtfully provided. In over ten years of international travel, we have never experienced such warm hospitality or felt so instantly at home. Set near the charming village of Castro Laboreiro in the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the location is truly magical—surrounded by glorious hiking trails, ancient Roman bridges, and breathtaking mountain vistas. Each day brought new discoveries and deep appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds this peaceful retreat. We only wish our stay could have been longer. Casa do Fasco and its remarkable hosts earn our very highest commendation and recommendation. It is, quite simply, a perfect place to stay.

Positive: Amazing location with an exceptional view. Run by a couple who were super welcoming and who went the extra mile to meet our every need. Impeccably clean and decorated, loved the Bosch appliances. Would highly recommend.
