Positive: Casa do Chafariz has everything you will ever need and then some. From literally any kitchen equipment you can think of to the beautful garden with a view of the sea. Then there is also the great location with a lot of different options to go hiking, or to take the car to Viana. Finally, José is just an excellent host, ready to answer any questions you may have and just being a kind person overall.

Positive: Beautiful and relaxing location. Lots of outdoor space, plenty of interior space to enjoy. Located on the famous pilgramage Caminha, CdC comes with the opportunity to walk a bit along the famous path. Jose is the consummate host, ensuring your every comfort - a welcoming bottle of wine, fruits, coffee. If you come without a car, he'll take you to town and the grocery store as often as you want. He is one of the nicest people we have met - and that says a lot! Watching the waves among palm trees and orchids, drinking a glass of wine? Just so special!

Negative: Everything was so wonderful! I wouldn't change a thing.

Positive: It’s a nice , beautiful and a silent villa with no noise around, everything a couple need to spend some time and relax. Josè the owner is the best part of his collection with nice ideas and clear instructions makes it like home . I shall say he was the best owner we ever met and he is always available to give best service in great and professional manners .

Positive: Was a wonderful experience. Jose is an exceptional host, very kind & always willing to help. Great peaceful location with beautiful outdoor sitting spaces & view of the ocean. There is a large grocery store nearby walking/biking distance. I highly recommend Casa do Chafariz

The owner Jose has thought out everything down to the smallest detail. Wonderful local area. The owner is always ready to help. I was very touched by the compliment. Positive: We had a very nice stay in Casa do Chafariz! Everything was really clean and tidy when we arrived. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, some fruits, pastries and even breakfast for the next morning. Jose is a warm welcoming host, being there for any questions or advice, but giving you all the privacy you need. The house is small but very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the airconditioning working just fine without being too noisy.

Negative: Just to mention one small point of criticism: the bed was just fine, we slept ok (thanks to the silient airco!) but maybe the matress wasn't top class. For people suffering from back problems this might be an issue. For us it was no problem at all. If you want to go out and have a drink at night, there's no pub or bar nearby, so you have to go by bike or by car. This didn't bother us at all, as we don't mind driving a few minutes and the beautifull garden is also lovely for stargazing!

He wants every guest to be comfortable and he has created an amazing and unique place to stay near Viana do Castelo. We wrote our friends and family after arriving that we had found a piece of paradise in Portugal! Jose communicated with us immediately and often, offers transportation to and from Viana, and so much more! And his place is just like him… comfortable and welcoming and thoughtful!

Negative: We loved everything! The grounds and garden, the view, the host, the space in our place, the solar electricity, the quiet. It was perfect!

Positive: Jose was a warm and welcoming host, his guest house is beautiful and the grounds are meticulous. He went above and beyond to give us a an outstanding experience, from having a welcome placard for us, to providing a bottle of his vino verde, to decorating with fresh flowers from his garden, and leaving fresh fruit and Pateis da nada for our enjoyment. We will return for a longer stay.
