Positive: Loved the grounds and how clean everything way. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and beds were comfortable for all of us. It felt like we stayed with family. Will definitely stay here again!

Negative: The gate to get in is kind of in an awkward spot and we missed it the first time and weren’t sure when we went back because there isn’t a sign with a name. I looked at the notes and the numbers matched so I one we were in the right spot and rang the bell to let the car in. But it’s hard to make the turn in to the gate. We figured things out quickly. Others might have more trouble.

Positive: We just stayed one night on our way from the caribean side to Monteverde and did not expect to stay in such an exceptional accomodation. The owners were very welcoming, served a tasty healthy breakfast personally in their beautiful villa with so much history. We spent a wonderful morning in the lovely big garden with many birds and their nice and well educated dogs. We can recommend this very special amiable apartments.

Positive: A peaceful oasis of trees, flowers and birds, located at a former coffee plantation, with attractive stucco walls surrounding the property. The owner lives in the large house on the property and was superbly gracious and welcoming. Our “loft” was private and quiet. One room with comfortable bed, a foldout sofa bed, and well equipped kitchen, and good shower. A large floor fan, but no A/C. Delightful patio outside our door with comfortable patio furniture.

Summary: A peaceful stay off the beaten path, in a simple room, with beautiful surroundings.

Positive: Secure parking for the motorcycles. Fantastic breakfast. Super friendly dogs to play with.

Negative: I only wish they took credit card payments, not just cash.

Negative: This is a duplex with two studios, but, unfortunately, it has a frame partition without any sound insulation, and this wall rests against the glass, having a through hole to the neighbors (seen in the photo), I clearly hear all the sounds and rustles, as well conversations of neighboring guests and they will hear you, if you are a young couple and on your honeymoon, then this can be a problem for everyone. The front door is glass, the glass is completely transparent, covered with thin blinds, if you wish you can look into the apartment, this does not allow you to relax.
