Positive: Beautiful vineyard location overlooking the Douro Valley and with a fantastic view of the stars at night. The staff were very helpful in coordinating how to get to the location from Pinhão (we arrived by train and didn't have a car).

Negative: The hot water was out on our last morning, although that didn't affect us too much.

Positive: The lodging at the top of the ridge was incredibly beautiful. Unmatched views of the Duoro Valley scenery. If you go down to Pinhao for dinner don't drink too much wine before driving back to the lodge, the roads are narrow and steep! Awesome place, I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also excellent.

Summary: One of the most beautiful country lodges that I've been to. Amazing location.

Positive: The views and the patio were stunning. Very quiet and close to the center in Pinhão. Breakfast was nice and varied with some local produce like the grapes from the farm. Nice owner and staff serving breakfast.

Negative: The stairs. Not a major inconvenience if you don't have heavy luggage or issues with mobility but all rooms are upstairs. The room seemed clean but we had to get something from under the beds and it hadn't been clean in a while. Check-in and check out we had to look around and knock at doors to find the people. It's like they didn't know we were arriving or leaving.

Positive: The pool was really nice, we really enjoyed it. The owner is really nice and always available. It is located 10-15mins by car from the small center, we took a taxi everytime we needed to get there, getting a taxi was easy. We got the phone number of the local company when we first took a taxi from the train station. We would definitely go back! The continental breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, bagels, coffee, cheese, and juice.

Positive: The place was a bit away from the village/town next to it, but that guaranteed that there wouldn't be any loud noises. The views were amazing, and there were plenty of spaces (terraces) to drink coffee from. The kitchen was available in case we wanted to have a cup of coffee or cook something. The owner was very nice and so was her puppy. Overall - an amazing place, great views and comfy room.

Negative: The check-in time was quite strict and made us cut other plans short. So not the best when you want a flexible schedule.
