Waking up between cotton sheets in a large bedroom with a charming balcony in front of the bed, desk and a beautiful terrace with wonderful mountain views... Welcome to Casa Bellavista!
This old Canarian house was recently renovated and is perfectly prepared for a couple offering a warm and romantic atmosphere.
It has a cheerful and well-equipped kitchen, to make our holidays easier, which gives access to a large room divided into two rooms: on the one hand, the dining room, and, on the other, the living room with a good plasma TV and international channels Astra satellite and stereo. One of the sofas is a sofa-bed.
The house is ideal for active people who like the mountains, walking and exploring the island and then return at sunset, light the barbecue and drink a good wine while waiting relaxed in the jacuzzi for the moon to rise.
The house has an excellent WiFi signal both indoors and outdoors.
The house is located at the end of the neighborhood of La Yedra and from there you can subtly draw a border between a scattered population landscape that descends towards the sea and an uninhabited natural landscape towards the mountain, all with a sinuous play of water that runs free with nature, houses and crops within the Barranco de La Mina, the first stretch of the Barranco Guiniguada that makes its way west-east to the city of Las Palmas.
The entrance to the neighborhood is made through Utiaca, a small village that served as a rest for the people who made the route San Mateo-Teror and its location by its services is still felt in its church and its square to one side of the road, today road, and the main grocery store in the area just in front where you also find the Neighbors Association as a meeting place and cafes.

Summary: Booked this villa as we wanted to see the real Gran Canaria away from the normal touristy spots . As we drove up the steep hair pin bend road we came to Casa Bellavista . First reaction , wow , what a beautiful house . Inside had the same wow along with the 3 different sitting / taking in the sun areas , great . Jacuzzi as well just added to the quality of this lovely house . Bit disappointed on first day as Wi-Fi only worked in spurts , but by sheer luck our power went off on second night and when reset the Wi-Fi jumped into life and worked well . Contrary to what is said in description though as soon as you went outside connection was lost , not a great hassle to us though . Point to remember in case you require it , we never at any time had a phone signal . Back to the villa , just the place if you want to get away from it all but otherwise it won’t be for you . For us it was fantastic , weather was beautiful throughout and it’s so so quiet . Just to say that if you fancy walking there is a path that runs down to Utiaca avoiding the road . To get to it you need to leave villa , go down to where you make sharp bend and take the road not going down hill . Quarter of a mile or so you will reach a sign pointing you in direction . Path seems like it has stopped partly down but in going through some trees and across a stream it starts again , brings you down at restaurant , took us 40 mins . The walk back up the road was harder though , only 0.9 miles but very steep . All in all , we loved the house and our stay here . Places to visit , San Mateo , nice small town and Teror , really lovely place , go on a Sunday to market . Can’t wait to go back and we will .

Summary: The property was excellent but didn’t realise how remote it was. The situation of the property made it very unreasonable to go out in the evening as to walk home after a meal and a glass of wine was almost impossible. Driving was an adventure in itself.

Summary: What a gorgeous place, a traditional Canaries house with wonderful mountain views, peaceful with a balcony which has the sun from first to last thing in the day. The locals were very friendly saying Hola or waving as you drove up and down the lanes. It was a cracking two weeks holiday in an island I can only describe as buzzing!!

Summary: Loved the property, loved the location and the locals when we saw them were lovely and friendly. A wonderful relaxing 2 weeks. Gets chilly at night due to being in the mountains but that is what it is by definition! Thankyou we will be back!

Summary: Beautiful place with beautiful views. Lovely and warm with the radiators and log fire. Really comfortable stay with everything you need. Must be beautiful in the summer. Great outdoor space too with bbq. Will definitely go back as it’s in a great location for exploring if you have a car.

Summary: This property is just as shown with lovely views of the valley. A quiet and private property with excellent facilities and the hot tub is a bonus. The parking is challenging as the driver needs to get out the passenger side and you do need a small car. We had a VW Polo which was fine.

Summary: Just got back from a weeks stay at the Bellavista. We had the most relaxing time and really made the most of the peace and tranquillity of the views and surrounding area. Hot tub was great and used the bbq aswel on one occasion to cook some fantastic local produce brought from St Mateo down the road. Two bits of advice. 1. As the owner states, definitely you will need a car that is not too big as you have to park quite close to the neighbiuring house wall. This was not a problem for us in an Opal crossland, but any bigger this would of been difficult. So get at least a 1.4Ltr engine to get up the moutain roads but keep to a smallish car. Cicar rentalls are fantastic in the airport. Email them before you travel couldn't fault them. The roads are windy just take it easy a little beep before bends is good for the last stretch to the house the locals all do it and they're very understanding. 2. We were lucky enough to have 3 lovely warm days up the mountains the rest were quite wet so ventured to the south of the island for warmer weather. In the evenings we found it does get quite cold this time of year. There are some electric heaters and some lovely big warm blankets but we found the log burner stove to be a real treat and made the house all that more cosy. Logs can be brought from St Mateo 10mins down the road. We had a lovely stay in the mountains and would highly recommend the place for anyone looking to either adventure around, relax or just take in some of the most amazing scenery. We also visited Las Palmas during our stay and fell in love with the little town called Teror the Sunday morning market was great fun! Thanks for a great stay in your very clean, cosy mountain retreat! We have some stunning photos from the views from the house that will live on as memories. Kind Regards Matt & Jess

Summary: House was lovely , everything supplied and clean and tidy. Beautiful views of the mountains and you can even see the sea. Road to house is very narrow and I wouldn't have a car bigger than a Corsa or Peugeot 208 as parking space is small. We where there in November and the weather was variable but an hour away was the south of the island where the weather , scenary and beaches were lovely.

Summary: we were very unfortunate with the weather which was mostly cold and wet and the problem was made worse by lack of natural light to property and the fact that a heater did not work and took a few days to replace to be fair the property is very clean, as described and the hot tub lovely the scenery is great and good for walking but it is quite high altitude and during poor weather the temperature is quite low around 10 c many times for us and the wind makes that worse this has nothing to do with the property which as I said is as described but we felt that it would be a super summer retreat not so good in February go by all means but take plenty of warm clothing
