Positive: The living area was comfortable with an open space between kitchen, dining, and living room. The refrigerator was large with plenty of space. The televisions were newer and easy to use. All windows except the kitchen had easy to use pull down shades or curtains.

Negative: Unfortunately, we were not happy with our stay at Carol Cottage. To begin with the front door was hard to open. It needs adjusting but you don't realize that at first and just think the keypad code is not working. It took us several minutes of trying and retrying before we were able to enter the home. Every time we left and returned, we had to go through the door struggle again. The home had a musty smell throughout so we immediately had to open all the windows to get fresh air into the home. It still had a musty smell but not as bad. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There wasn't a mattress pad provided under the sheets and extra pillows stored in the closet did not have pillowcases provided for them. Closets had items stored haphazardly in them like pillows on the floor and cleaning items mixed in with linens. Cleanliness was fair. The back porch table and chairs were dirty and the grass had not been watered so the lawn was brown. We didn't bother even going outside even though the weather was nice. Ultimately, we left a day early and went somewhere else.

Summary: Very disappointing! Was not a good choice for us.
