Positive: The hotel’s location was excellent, right in the heart of the Carmel Center near Gan Ha’em, with plenty of transportation options. The hotel staff was pleasant, and the massage was relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel lobby offers a wide selection of teas and has a very calm and comfortable atmosphere. The room I stayed in (one with a balcony) was clean, tidy, and of a high standard.

Negative: Originally, I booked a room with a private jacuzzi, but a day before the check-in date I was informed that they wanted to change my room because of an upcoming storm, without any change in the room rate, and with a promise that I would receive private access to the public jacuzzi during the night hours. In reality, there was no storm at all (and even if there had been, why can’t the hotel handle rain in rooms with jacuzzis?), and I didn’t actually receive private access to the public jacuzzi, because it was simply open without a lock. When I tried to use the jacuzzi at night, it was cold, even after we waited hours for it to heat up, so the whole experience ended up being unpleasant.

Summary: An impressive and pleasant hotel, but the last-minute room change regarding the jacuzzi was disappointing.
