Positive: This was one of the more enjoyable stays in our travels through europe so far. The location outside Skopje was convenient. It also sits directly above the canyon. The host was accommodating and gave good advice on a road to travel after we left. The property was a one of a kind place that incorporates the local flavor and in this case the locals talent as he performed a lot of the work himself in its construction. It was super clean, very comfortable and well laid out. The shared kitchen area was perfect for making our own meal. The view in the morning was a 10. Thank you Canyon View Lodge for a comfortable stay.
Negative: That we only booked 1 night.
Summary: We would stay here again.

Positive: Everything was excellent and exactly as described. The view was absolutely priceless—pure peace and quiet. The host was fantastic, offering helpful tips for excursions and even more recommendations than we expected. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Surprisingly, even without a 4x4, our 1.6 diesel car made it all the way up to the house (well, my husband and the car did—we walked a bit!). We hadn’t expected that, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Positive: Beautiful location just outside of Matka Canyon. Pictures of the views don't do it justice, communication with Ilija and Meri was fantastic even with detailed directions for arrival and ideas of things to do locally. 5min walk to the entrance of the Canyon. Would definitely recommend.

Positive: What a little dream it was to arrive here. Ilias and Meri are not only amazing hosts, who took the time to meet us and provide extensive local knowledge, but the care and time they have put into this place is evident. Spotless clean, stylish detail, relaxing amazing balcony to look down the canyon and watch the stars. Hammocks to lay, bbq to cook on, lovely side yard to relax in also. The very spacious rooms are perfect to share for a couple or family, we 4 bunked in together on comfortable beds, functional clean bathroom, and well stocked shared kitchen situated between the 2 rooms. A larger family could rent the whole place easy. Appreciated the little supplies in the fridge for honesty purchase. Very much recommend continuing up the short unsealed road (not difficult at all) and spending time here in a little bit of Matka Canyon paradise. Thanks Ilias and Meri for your passion and perfect hosts!!

Positive: A hidden gem.. The view up there is simply amazing. We were greeted by Ilija who was a superhost, very friendly and helpful. We were treated like family. The place was nice modern and very clean. It was an unforgettable experience, and we will definitely be back.

Positive: The place has it all: great host, amazing view and comfortable distance to the main areas of the canyon. We came with our car. We had a meeting point with the host. The communication was good from his side and he was very friendly to map out where to go the 2 days we were there and gave us great tips to get around. There was snacks and drinks in the kitchen for a fair price if interested. The view of the canyon from the balcony is overwhelmingly beautiful. My friends and I (group of 3) had a really pleasant time.
Negative: I have nothing bad to say.
Summary: An extraordinary experience for a good price.
