Negative: It is accessed on a very narrow road and would be challenging to get to with a larger or sportier car.

Positive: We had an amazing stay at Carla and Paulo’s beautiful home in Préstimo. The house was spotless, the garden absolutely stunning, and everything was very well maintained. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind — they made us feel at home straight away. I stayed with my wife Ella and our dog Mika, and we all felt so relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay. One of the best places we’ve stayed in Portugal — peaceful, clean, and full of heart. Highly recommended! — Sebastian, Ella & Mika 🐾

Negative: If we had to mention something — it’s that the pictures didn’t fully show just how big and beautiful the garden is! There’s a whole orange orchard that we didn’t expect, and it was perfect for walking Mika without even leaving the property. A wonderful surprise, really — but worth highlighting! — Sebastian, Ella & Mika 🐾

Positive: The house was exceptionally well equipped with just about everything we needed, and impeccably refurbished. We arrived in a rainy and cold weekend and the house was very cosy, with two pellet heaters (upstairs and downstairs) and additional reversible AC heating in the living room and main room. Wonderfully well equipped and spatious WC, great kitchen (it even had an orange presser, dishwasher and laundry machine). The garden is outstanding with v nice landscaped terraces and a great view of the village and hills. We managed to get a walk near the beautiful river and, for rainy days there was Netflix and board games. Carla, the host has done a superb job with this property and we will be back for sure!

Positive: Very relaxing and although it doesn’t have a pool yet the river is close and is a great swimming spot. The garden is lush and colourful and a great place to relax particularly in the evening. Carla and Paulo work really hard to make sure that everything is just perfect for your stay and nothing is too much for them. We spent five weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of that time we had our 3 grandchildren aged between four and 11 staying with us. The river swimming for kids of that age is even better than a swimming pool and we have spent hours relaxing on the beach next to the river to then return to lush green garden and a barbecue.
